Will ISOBUS Block work with my tractor?

It works with any tractor that has an in-cab ISOBUS connector and AUX-N support. The quickest way to know: if you already run an ISOBUS implement with buttons mapped to it, ISOBUS Block works the same way. Newer ISOBUS tractors — Fendt, Valtra, John Deere, Case IH, CLAAS, Massey Ferguson, New Holland — use the same standardized connector and support AUX-N. For an older or uncertain model, contact us and we'll verify yours.

Does it work with 12V and 24V systems?

Yes. Supply voltage is 7–36V DC, so it runs on both 12V and 24V tractors. Each relay switches 12V or 24V loads up to 10A per channel.

Do I need AUX-N to use it?

AUX-N is how you assign the tractor's joystick and armrest buttons to the module's channels — that's what you want for hands-on button control. Any tractor with ISOBUS and a Virtual Terminal supports it. You don't need AUX-N just to switch outputs: you can also drive them straight from the tractor's Virtual Terminal screen, or from a web browser when you're connected to the module's WiFi.

My implement is locked out of AUX-N. Can this still help?

Yes. Some implements don't let the tractor's buttons control them, which forces you onto a separate switch-box in the cab. ISOBUS Block brings its own AUX-N functions onto the bus, so you map the tractor's buttons to the module instead. That sidesteps the lockout, as long as the tractor itself supports AUX-N.

Can it do analog, proportional, or steer the tractor?

No — it's an on/off relay module, not an analog or proportional controller. The test: if a function can be triggered by a plain +12V switch, ISOBUS Block handles it. If it needs a variable signal (0–10V, 4–20mA), stepless valve position, or ISOBUS Class 3 / TIM where the implement steers the tractor, it's the wrong tool, and we'll tell you so.

How many modules do I need?

Count movements, not switches. A function that goes two ways — up/down, in/out — is two outputs, one relay per direction. A one-way on/off function (a light, a beacon, a single valve) is one output. One module gives you 8 channels; add up your outputs and round up to a multiple of 8. Example: tilt left, tilt right, boom up/down and fold in/out are two each — that's 8 already, so anything more means a second module.

Can I run more than one module on the same tractor?

Yes. Each module takes its own address on the bus and shows up as its own screen on the Virtual Terminal. Two modules give you 16 channels, three give you 24, and so on.

Four steps: mount the module, plug it into ISOBUS, wire each load to a relay output, then assign the channels from the tractor screen. The bare module mounts on a DIN rail or with screws through its corner holes, and you supply the ISOBUS cable. The cabin kit adds a pre-built harness to the in-cab connector. The implement kit comes pre-mounted in a weatherproof box and plugs into the tractor's rear external connector.

Do I need to be an auto-electrician to install it?

No. The module uses plain screw terminals and the ISOBUS connectors come ready-made, so there's no ISOBUS connector to crimp. The cabin harness plugs in at both ends. On the implement kit, the outputs are short flying leads ending in 2-pin Deutsch connectors — you fit the mating Deutsch to your own load wires, which is basic wiring.

Do I plug into the front or rear ISOBUS socket?

Whichever your implement connects to. A rear-mounted implement uses the rear external ISOBUS connector; a front implement uses the front one. The module works through either — it doesn't require a specific socket. If the implement is already ISOBUS, the module taps into its existing bus and nothing extra runs to the tractor.

Does it need a separate power supply?

The module is powered through the ISOBUS connection, but your output loads are not — a relay only switches the circuit, so the power for each load comes from a source you provide. With the bare module or cabin kit on the in-cab connector, the ISOBUS connection powers the module only; feed your loads from a +12V or +24V source such as the battery. The implement kit draws its power through the external ISOBUS connector, which the tractor fuses at 60A. Each channel switches up to 10A.

Do I need to set the CAN termination?

Usually not — the tractor terminates the bus automatically. The module has a jumper for a 120 Ω terminating resistor if it sits at the end of the bus. When you branch it into the middle of an existing ISOBUS bus, leave the jumper out.

How do I configure the outputs?

From the tractor's Virtual Terminal, in edit mode. Each on-screen button is set up there: give it a name and icon, choose which relay channel(s) CH1–CH8 it switches, and set it to toggle (TOG) or momentary (MOM). Bind it to a joystick or armrest button via AUX-N if you want physical control. No laptop or phone needed — it's all on the tractor screen.

How does AUX-N button assignment work?

The module registers itself as an AUX function on the bus. Open the AUX-N menu on the Virtual Terminal, pick a joystick or armrest button, and map it to a channel. The tractor stores the assignment, so reconnect next season and it's still there.

How do I assign a channel to a joystick button?

Assign any channel to a tractor button from the Virtual Terminal: 1. Open the AUX-N menu on the VT. 2. Pick the joystick or armrest button you want to use. 3. Select the ISOBUS Block channel — CH3, or the name you gave it — to map to that button. 4. Set the channel to toggle (TOG) or momentary (MOM) in the module's screen menu. 5. Press the button to test; the relay switches. The assignment is stored in the tractor and survives power cycles.

How do I rename a button or change its icon?

All from the tractor screen, no laptop or phone needed: 1. On the VT main screen, press the EDIT soft key (cog icon). The buttons turn blue — you're in edit mode. 2. Tap the button you want to edit. 3. On that button you can set its name, pick an icon, choose which channel(s) CH1–CH8 it switches, and set its mode (TOG or MOM). Type the name on the VT keyboard; step through icons with the arrow buttons. 4. Leave edit mode. The name and icon show on the main screen and in the AUX-N assignment menu, so your buttons aren't left unlabeled. Everything is saved on the module and survives power cycles.

What's the difference between toggle and momentary (TOG / MOM)?

Toggle (TOG) latches: press once to switch the output on, press again to switch it off. Momentary (MOM) is active only while you hold the button. You set it per channel on the module's screen. Use toggle for a work light, momentary for a function you hold to move.

Can I test an output without assigning a button?

Yes. The Virtual Terminal has a TEST function that switches an output directly, the same as pressing its mapped AUX-N button. It's handy for checking wiring during install. Leave TEST mode before normal use.

What is the WiFi for?

Diagnostics, testing, and firmware — it's optional, and you don't need it for normal operation. Over WiFi you can view and switch the 8 outputs, check the software version, run health checks, change the WiFi password, and update firmware. You can't assign buttons, rename channels, or change toggle/momentary behavior over WiFi — that's all done on the tractor screen.

Are firmware updates free?

Yes. Firmware updates are free. You download the firmware file and install it over WiFi using the module's web interface.

How do I update the firmware?

Update over WiFi from a phone or laptop: 1. On the tractor VT, press the INFO soft key and note the 4-character OTA key. 2. Connect your phone or laptop to the module's WiFi network (Block_relay_XXX). 3. Open http://192.168.4.1/update in a browser. 4. Enter the OTA key and choose the firmware .bin file. 5. Tap Upload & Install and wait — don't cut power or close the browser. It takes about 30–60 seconds. 6. The module restarts; reconnect to WiFi after about 10 seconds. 7. Confirm the new version on the Settings page or the VT INFO screen. The previous firmware is kept, so you can roll back if needed.

Where do I find the OTA key?

On the tractor's Virtual Terminal. View the ISOBUS Block on the VT and press the INFO soft key — the 4-character OTA key is shown there (for example, "OTA Key: Ab3X"). It's unique to each module, doesn't change unless you factory reset, and is case-insensitive when you enter it. It isn't shown in the WiFi interface on purpose: reading it needs physical access to the cab, which stops unauthorized updates.

Can I roll back a firmware update?

Yes. The module keeps the previous firmware. If an update fails, it keeps running the old version; if a new version misbehaves, you can roll back from the web interface. If the module won't boot, it rolls back automatically after a few failed boot attempts.

Can I set up buttons or channels over WiFi?

No. Button assignment, channel naming, and toggle/momentary behavior are all set on the tractor's Virtual Terminal. Over WiFi you can view and switch outputs, check the version, run health checks, and update firmware — but nothing that changes the button assignments or channel setup.

I forgot the WiFi password.

The default WiFi password is 12345678. To reset it, power on the module and hold the BOOT button on the board inside the enclosure for 10 seconds — it reboots with the default password.

The module isn't showing up on my Virtual Terminal.

First, in the tractor's ISOBUS settings, make sure the ISOBUS UT (Universal Terminal) is enabled and set to AUX-N (New) mode. Then check the CAN wiring (CAN_H, CAN_L, GND) and that the connector is fully seated, and give it about 30 seconds to load. If it still doesn't appear, unplug and replug the connector and switch the tractor off and on — that clears most loading problems. If the module sits at the end of the bus, also check the 120 Ω termination jumper.

A relay won't click, or the output doesn't switch.

First make sure something is actually driving the channel — an assigned AUX-N button, or a command from the Virtual Terminal or web interface — and that you're not stuck in TEST mode, which overrides normal operation. If the relay clicks but the load is dead, check the load wiring to COM/NO/NC and that the load is within 10A. Test with a simple load like a bulb to confirm the relay works.

All my outputs suddenly switched off.

That's the safety timeout. If the module gets no valid command for 500 ms — usually a lost ISOBUS connection — it switches every output off. Check the CAN connection and the ISOBUS link to the tractor.

I can't open the WiFi configuration page.

Use http://192.168.4.1 (not https), and turn off mobile data on your phone — it can route the request to the internet instead of the module. If the network isn't showing, wait 10–15 seconds after power-on and move within range. The default WiFi password is 12345678.

Which version should I buy — module, cabin, or implement?

Pick by where it mounts and how much wiring you want to do. The bare Module (€980) is for building into your own panel or enclosure with your own ISOBUS cable. The Cabin kit (€1,090) adds a pre-built 1.8 m harness to the in-cab connector — mount it in the cab and plug in. The Implement kit (€1,590) comes pre-mounted in a weatherproof box with Deutsch leads, for mounting out on the implement. The relay side is the same on all three. The harness and enclosure aren't sold separately, so pick the version that matches your install.
