By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

2. Product Description

ISOBUS Block manufactures and sells electronic relay modules designed for use with ISOBUS-compatible agricultural and off-road equipment. Our products are:

  • Components only โ€” not complete systems or solutions
  • Intended for integration by qualified personnel
  • Compatible with 12V and 24V electrical systems

3. Off-Road Use Only

ISOBUS BLOCK PRODUCTS ARE DESIGNED AND INTENDED EXCLUSIVELY FOR USE ON OFF-ROAD VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT THAT ARE NOT REGISTERED OR INTENDED FOR USE ON PUBLIC ROADS.

This includes, but is not limited to: agricultural tractors operating in fields, forestry machines, construction equipment, and other off-road machinery. By purchasing this product, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will not install or use this product on any vehicle that is registered for, or intended for, use on public roads or highways
  • You will not use this product in any application where it could affect the road-worthiness, type approval, or homologation of a vehicle
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of this product complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations regarding vehicle modification and off-road equipment
  • Any use of this product on road-registered vehicles is entirely at your own risk, and ISOBUS Block accepts no liability whatsoever for such use

4. Prohibited Uses

You must not use ISOBUS Block products for any of the following purposes:

  • Road vehicles: Any vehicle registered or intended for use on public roads or highways
  • Safety-critical functions: Steering, braking, engine shutdown, emergency stop systems, or any function where failure could result in injury, death, or significant property damage
  • Life-safety systems: Fire suppression, medical equipment, emergency response systems, or life-support equipment
  • Hazardous environments: Explosive atmospheres (ATEX zones), chemical processing, or environments requiring intrinsically safe equipment
  • Aviation and marine navigation: Aircraft systems, marine navigation equipment, or any aviation/maritime safety-critical application
  • Nuclear facilities: Any application in nuclear energy generation or nuclear material handling

Any use of the product outside its intended purpose as described in these Terms voids all warranties and releases ISOBUS Block from any and all liability.

5. Important Disclaimers

5.1 Component Nature

Our products are standalone electronic components, not integrated systems. The ISOBUS Block relay module is designed to be installed and integrated into existing off-road equipment by the purchaser or qualified technicians. We do not provide installation services, and the product must be properly integrated to function as intended.

5.2 Conformity and Integration

ISOBUS Block is supplied as a relay module component for integration. We do not certify or warrant the conformity of any system, machine, or installation into which the product is integrated. The integrator or end user is solely responsible for ensuring that the final assembly, machine, or system complies with all applicable EU directives, standards, and regulations, including but not limited to the Machinery Directive.

5.3 No Warranty of Fitness for Your Installation

ISOBUS Block does not warrant that the product will meet your specific requirements, that it will be compatible with your specific equipment configuration, or that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for deciding whether the product is suitable for your intended application.

Nothing in this section limits the warranty we do give. The limited warranty in Section 12 and our Warranty Terms set out the warranty that applies to the product, in addition to any warranty you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be waived.

5.4 No Liability for System Integration

ISOBUS Block bears no responsibility for:

  • How the product affects your tractor, vehicle, or equipment
  • Damage to vehicles, equipment, property, or crops resulting from use or misuse of the product
  • Incompatibility with specific tractor models, ISOBUS implementations, or other equipment
  • Improper installation or wiring
  • Use of the product outside its intended specifications
  • Modifications made to the product or integration with non-compatible systems

5.5 User Responsibility

By purchasing our product, you acknowledge that:

  • You have the technical knowledge to install electronic components or will engage qualified personnel
  • You are responsible for verifying compatibility with your specific equipment
  • You understand electrical safety requirements for your jurisdiction
  • You will follow all installation guidelines and safety precautions
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your final installation meets all applicable regulations and safety standards

6. Vehicle Safety and CAN Bus Disclaimer

THIS SECTION CONTAINS CRITICAL SAFETY INFORMATION. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

6.1 CAN Bus and ISOBUS Communication Risks

The ISOBUS Block relay module connects to your vehicle's ISOBUS network, which uses Controller Area Network (CAN) bus technology. You acknowledge and accept that:

  • CAN bus is a shared communication network. Any device connected to the CAN bus can potentially affect other devices on the same network.
  • We cannot guarantee compatibility with all ISOBUS implementations. Different tractor manufacturers may implement ISOBUS differently, and we cannot test every possible configuration.
  • Communication interference may occur. In rare cases, devices connected to CAN bus networks may cause communication errors, bus conflicts, or interference with other systems.
  • Vehicle behavior may be affected in unpredictable ways. CAN bus issues could potentially affect vehicle displays, warning systems, engine management, transmission, hydraulics, steering assist, or other vehicle functions.

6.2 Vehicle Safety Warning

ISOBUS Block products are NOT safety-critical devices and must NOT be relied upon for any safety function.

  • Our products are designed for auxiliary functions only (work lights, hydraulic valves, accessories) on off-road equipment.
  • Do NOT use this product for any application where failure could result in injury, death, or significant property damage.
  • Do NOT use this product to control steering, braking, engine shutdown, or any other safety-critical function.
  • Always maintain manual override capability for any function controlled by this device.
  • The operator must remain in control of the vehicle at all times and must not rely on this device for safe operation.

6.3 Pre-Installation Testing Requirement

Before using this product in normal operation, you MUST:

  1. Test the product in a safe, controlled environment (vehicle stationary, no bystanders, transmission in neutral/park)
  2. Verify that all vehicle systems continue to function normally after installation
  3. Check for any warning lights, error messages, or abnormal behavior on your vehicle
  4. Test emergency stop and manual override functions
  5. If ANY abnormal behavior is observed, immediately disconnect the product and contact us before further use

6.4 Operating Conditions

You agree to:

  • Never operate the vehicle in conditions where a malfunction could cause injury or property damage without having contingency measures in place
  • Immediately stop using the product if you observe any unexpected vehicle behavior
  • Not operate the product near persons who could be injured by equipment controlled by the relay outputs
  • Ensure all hydraulic and electrical connections are properly rated and secured

7. Assumption of Risk

BY PURCHASING AND INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT, YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ITS USE.

You acknowledge that:

  • Installing aftermarket electronic components on vehicles and equipment carries inherent risks
  • You have made an independent decision to purchase and install this product after considering these risks
  • You are solely responsible for determining whether this product is suitable for your intended application
  • You accept full responsibility for any consequences resulting from the installation and use of this product
  • You will not hold ISOBUS Block liable for any damage to your vehicle, equipment, property, crops, or any other losses arising from use of this product

This assumption of risk includes, but is not limited to: CAN bus communication failures, vehicle malfunctions, equipment damage, crop losses, business interruption, personal injury, and any other direct or indirect consequences of using this product.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ISOBUS Block, its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the product
  • Your installation of the product
  • Any claim that the product caused damage to vehicles, equipment, property, or persons
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations related to vehicle modification or operation
  • Any third-party claims arising from your use of the product
  • Use of the product on road-registered vehicles or in any prohibited application

This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of these Terms and any warranty period.

9. Orders and Payment

9.1 Placing Orders

Orders are placed through our website. By placing an order, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, that you are authorized to use the payment method, and that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in full.

9.2 Prices

Prices are displayed excluding VAT. VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your shipping country. Orders shipped outside the EU are not charged EU VAT; import duties and taxes in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility. Prices are shown in euros (EUR) except in markets where another currency is displayed at checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already placed.

9.3 Payment

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment must be completed at the time of order.

10. Shipping and Delivery

We ship worldwide. Delivery times vary by location. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, who carries that risk depends on who is buying. For consumers, risk of loss passes on delivery to you, not on handover to the carrier โ€” so a parcel lost on the way is ours to replace. For buyers purchasing in the course of a business, risk of loss passes when we hand the product to the carrier.

11. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Under EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right:

  • Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of delivery
  • Return the product in its original, unused condition
  • Include all original packaging and accessories

Once we receive the returned product and verify its condition, we will process your refund within 14 days using the same payment method used for the original purchase. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

12. Warranty

12.1 Warranty Period

ISOBUS Block products come with a 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. This warranty applies only when the product is used in accordance with these Terms, including the off-road use restriction and prohibited uses sections.

12.2 Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does NOT cover damage caused by:

  • Moisture or water ingress โ€” The product must be installed in a protected location or with appropriate weatherproof enclosure
  • Dust, dirt, or debris โ€” Environmental contamination from improper installation
  • Improper installation โ€” Including incorrect wiring, reversed polarity, or connection to incompatible systems
  • Electrical damage โ€” Overvoltage, short circuits, power surges, or exceeding rated current specifications
  • Physical damage โ€” Drops, impacts, crushing, or mechanical stress
  • Modifications โ€” Any alterations to the product or its firmware
  • Misuse โ€” Use outside documented specifications, intended applications, or in violation of these Terms (including use on road-registered vehicles or in prohibited applications)
  • Normal wear and tear โ€” Including relay contact wear from normal switching cycles
  • Cosmetic damage โ€” Scratches, dents, or other appearance-only issues
  • Missing spark suppression โ€” Relay contact wear or failure caused by the absence of spark suppression at an inductive load. Fitting suppression at the load is a required part of correct installation; see the Wiring Guide.

12.3 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] with your order number and description of the issue
  2. Provide photos or videos demonstrating the defect
  3. If requested, return the product to us for inspection. You pay the postage to send it in.

If the defect is covered, we repair or replace the product at our discretion, refund the postage you paid to send it in, and cover the cost of shipping it back to you โ€” so a covered warranty claim costs you nothing.

If the inspection shows the defect is not covered โ€” for example water ingress from an unprotected installation โ€” the postage you paid is not refunded, and we will contact you with your options before carrying out any work.

12.4 Warranty Limitations

The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, damage to equipment, crops, or property.

This commercial warranty is given in addition to, and does not affect, any rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be waived โ€” including the two-year legal warranty available to consumers in the EU. See our Warranty Terms for how the two run alongside each other.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • ISOBUS Block's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from the use of our products โ€” whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory โ€” shall not exceed the total amount you paid to ISOBUS Block for the specific product(s) giving rise to the claim.
  • ISOBUS Block shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, crop losses, business interruption, cost of substitute equipment, or other intangible losses resulting from the use or inability to use our products.
  • These limitations apply regardless of whether ISOBUS Block has been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of whether any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. In particular, the limits above do not apply to claims for personal injury.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you. This section gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights that vary by country and, in the United States, from state to state.

14. Force Majeure

ISOBUS Block shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, epidemics or pandemics, supply chain disruptions, component shortages, strikes, transportation delays, or interruptions of utility services. Delivery times and other obligations shall be extended by a period equal to the duration of such force majeure event.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of ISOBUS Block and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The product firmware is licensed, not sold, and may not be reverse-engineered, decompiled, or modified.

16. Resale and Distribution

If you resell or distribute ISOBUS Block products, you are responsible for ensuring that all end users receive and agree to these Terms of Service. ISOBUS Block accepts no liability for claims arising from third-party use of products that you have resold or distributed.

17. Dispute Resolution

17.1 Negotiation

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of our products, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. You agree to contact us in writing at [email protected] and allow a minimum of 30 days to resolve the dispute before initiating any legal proceedings.

17.2 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland. If negotiation fails, any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ISOBUS Block regarding the subject matter hereof. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, including any representations made in marketing materials, product descriptions, blog posts, or other website content that may differ from or expand upon these Terms.

20. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website or products after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website.
