AUTO tiles, DI rules, and what arming an input actually does
How AUTO Works
There are two things to learn: AUTO tiles and DI rules.
A tile is what the operator presses. A rule is what happens.

Tiles Arm, Rules Act
A tile is a switch for a group of inputs. It carries no behaviour of its own.
- One tile can arm several inputs at once. A tile named
POS CTRLcan arm both proximity sensors of a lift and lower pair. - An input is armed if any armed tile includes it.
- A disarmed input does nothing, whatever its electrical state.
- Rules belong to the input, not to the tile. DI1 behaves the same way whichever tile armed it.
If two tiles use the same input, the setup page shows you which, on an ALSO: line with the other tile's name.
Tile Colours

Arming Starts Things
Arming is not a standby state. If a FOLLOW sensor is already active when you arm its tile, the outputs engage immediately. The tile turning green is your cue that something can move.
Nothing arms itself. After power-up, a preset change, a terminal reconnect, or leaving config mode, every tile is disarmed. Armed states are never saved, so a power cycle always leaves you in manual.
Inputs Are Wired Per Machine
Inputs are numbered IN1 to IN8 on the housing and shown as DI1 to DI8 on the screen. Each accepts 5-36V and is optocoupler isolated. Dry contacts, NPN sensors and PNP sensors all work. See the Wiring Guide for the terminal connections.
Whether a wired sensor reads as active or inactive is set per input with INVERT, which is how you use either normally-open or normally-closed sensors. See Setting Up an Input.
Where the Settings Live
Tiles and rules are part of the preset. The module holds 10 named presets, so one module can carry the setup of several implements. Switching preset disarms everything first, then loads the new configuration.
