How to install new firmware on your ISOBUS Block
Firmware Update Guide
Update your ISOBUS Block firmware over WiFi using the web interface.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- The firmware file (.bin)
- The OTA key from the VT display (see Finding the OTA Key)
- A device (phone/laptop) connected to the ISOBUS Block WiFi
Update Procedure
1. Get the OTA Key
- On the tractor VT, press INFO soft key
- Note the 4-character OTA key
2. Connect to Device WiFi
- Connect your phone/laptop to Block_relay_XXX
3. Open Update Page
- Go to http://192.168.4.1/update
4. Enter OTA Key
- Type the 4-character key in the OTA Key field
5. Select Firmware File
- Click Choose File
- Select the .bin firmware file
6. Upload
- Click Upload & Install
- Wait for the progress bar to complete
- Do not close the browser or disconnect
7. Restart
- The device restarts automatically
- You'll be disconnected from WiFi temporarily
- Reconnect after about 10 seconds
After Update
- Check the firmware version on Settings page or VT Info screen
- Test basic functionality (inputs, outputs, VT connection)
- The previous firmware is kept for rollback if needed
Update Tips
- Keep power stable during update - don't disconnect power
- Updates take about 30-60 seconds depending on file size
- Maximum firmware size: 3 MB
- If update fails, the device continues running the old firmware
Troubleshooting
"Invalid OTA key" error
- Double-check the key from VT Info screen
- Key is case-insensitive but must be exact
"Firmware too large" error
- The firmware file exceeds the 3 MB limit
- Contact support for a compatible firmware
Upload stuck/failed
- Don't close the browser during upload
- Stay connected to the device WiFi
- Try power cycling and attempting again
Device not responding after update
- Wait 30 seconds for restart to complete
- Reconnect to WiFi
