Virtual Terminal Display

Using the tractor Virtual Terminal interface with ISOBUS Block

Virtual Terminal Display

When connected to a tractor's ISOBUS system, the ISOBUS Block appears on the Virtual Terminal (VT) display. This is where you set up and operate the module — no phone or laptop needed.

Main Screen

The main screen shows a grid of buttons. Each button switches one or more relay channels (CH1–CH8) and carries its own name, icon, and mode.

  • Press a button to switch its assigned channel(s).
  • A button reflects its channel state — lit when the relay is ON, unlit when OFF.

Soft Keys

  • EDIT (cog icon) — Enter edit mode to set up the buttons
  • INFO — Shows device information (WiFi SSID, IP address, OTA key)

Setting Up a Button (EDIT Mode)

Everything about a button is configured here — there is no setup over WiFi.

  1. Press the EDIT soft key (cog icon). All buttons turn blue to show edit mode is active.
  2. Tap the button you want to set up.
  3. Configure the button:
    • Name — type a label on the VT keyboard (e.g., DIVERTER, WORK LIGHT)
    • Icon — step through the icons with the arrow buttons and pick one
    • Channels — tap CH1–CH8 to choose which relay channel(s) this button switches (one or several)
    • Mode — choose MOM (momentary) or TOG (toggle)
  4. Exit edit mode to save.

The name and icon you set appear in two places: on this main screen, and in the tractor's AUX-N assignment menu when you bind the button to a joystick trigger or armrest button. Both persist across power cycles.

Info Screen

Press the INFO soft key to see device information:

  • Firmware Version — Current installed firmware
  • WiFi SSID — Network name to connect for the web interface
  • IP Address — Always 192.168.4.1
  • OTA Key — 4-character code needed for firmware updates

Press BACK to return to the main screen.

Status Updates

The VT display updates approximately 10 times per second:

  • Each button reflects the actual relay state of its channel(s)
  • All indicators are color-coded for quick visual identification

Tips

  • The VT display works alongside the web interface — both show the same channel status, and the web interface can switch outputs for testing.
  • Button setup (name, icon, channels, mode) and AUX-N assignment are done on the VT only — they cannot be changed over WiFi.
  • If the VT shows "ISOBUS: Disconnected", check your CAN bus wiring.

Common questions about VT setup, edit mode, and AUX-N assignment are answered on the FAQ page.
