Setting Up an Input

All automation setup happens on the tractor's Virtual Terminal. The web interface tests outputs and handles firmware and diagnostics. It does not configure automation.

Where the Screens Are

Editing a Tile

  1. On the AUTO page, press the cog soft key.
  2. Tap the tile you want to set up.
  3. Set its name, up to 8 characters. Type it on the VT keyboard.
  4. Pick its icon, stepping through the 22 available with the arrow buttons.
  5. Select which inputs this tile arms. One tile can arm several.
  6. Set INTERLOCK on or off. Turn it on when the tile holds two sensors that must never demand movement at the same time.

If an input you selected is also used by another tile, the page shows an ALSO: line naming it. That is worth reading before you change anything: the rule belongs to the input, so your changes affect the other tile too.

Editing an Input

From the tile edit page, tap an input row to open DI SETUP for that input.

  1. Choose the mode: FOLLOW, TOGGLE or BLOCK. The screen shows a one-line explanation under your choice.
  2. Tick the outputs this input controls, any combination of CH1 to CH8. An input with no outputs ticked does nothing.
  3. Set INVERT if your sensor is wired the other way round, so that a powered input reads as inactive. This is how normally-closed sensors are used.
  4. Set the five timing values. See Timing Settings.
  5. Mark a channel as SERVICE here if it is a shared valve every function uses. See Arming and Manual Override.

Verify It on the Machine

The DI SETUP page carries a live IN / OUT indicator.

  • IN is the raw sensor state, after INVERT.
  • OUT is the state after all the filtering.

Have someone walk the sensor past its target and watch both. IN tells you the wiring and the sensor are right. OUT tells you the timing is right. This is the fastest way to set debounce and the delays, and it beats calculating them.

Saving

Press DONE to commit, or CANCEL to discard.

The whole session commits or discards as one, tile settings and input settings together. There is no half-saved state to end up in.

Changing a tile's inputs or a rule's settings disarms the affected tiles. Edits never re-target automation that is already running.

Assigning Arm Auto to an Armrest Button

Each tile has its own AUX-N function, named "Arm Auto 1" to "Arm Auto 8". They are assigned exactly like the relay button functions, through the tractor's normal AUX-N assignment screen. See AUX-N Functions.

  • Each function carries its tile's own name and icon, so the assignment screen shows POS CTRL with the icon you picked, not a generic label.
  • They are momentary-type functions. The module owns the armed state, so a press always toggles arm and disarm, and holding the button never re-arms behind your back.

Presets

Tiles and rules are stored in the preset, alongside the button setup. The module holds 10 named presets, so one module can carry the setup of several implements.

Switching preset disarms everything first, then loads the new configuration.
